Coeur is a leather goods company dedicated to slow, thoughtful fashion. Prioritizing people and the planet, we focus on responsible production, sustainable materials, and minimizing our impact. Our leather is sourced exclusively from American regenerative farms. Material sourcing, production, and distribution will remain within the United States in an effort to limit our carbon footprint. A transparent supply chain is crucial in bridging the gap between consumer and purchase. Today, this relationship has become so far removed. As a result of overly complex supply chains and shady business practices, most consumers do not know where their items were produced or the conditions they were produced in. We aim to strengthen this link by offering extensive insight into production, sourcing, and post-purchase care.
Coeur items are designed and manufactured in Connecticut by founder Deanna Crevecoeur. The Haitian-American designer knew from an early age that the conventional fashion design route wasn’t for her, dissatisfied with the industry's wasteful and thoughtless practices. Deanna graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2023, with a Bachelor's in Production Management and a minor in Ethics and Sustainability. Committed to a more intentional approach to fashion, Deanna founded Coeur with an objective of creating high-quality leather goods designed to last, using materials that come from sources that regenerate, rather than exploit. The name Coeur derives from Deanna’s last name and translates to heart in French. It represents the love that goes into each design, the love for this craft, and the love for mother nature and all that she provides. Her hope is that anyone wearing Coeur feels connected to this conscious process.
